Indonisia - Pre-shipment Inspection and PSIA

Every import implementation of Non B3 Waste by eligible importer is obliged to be conducted Verification or technical investigation in loading country before being shipped (or Pre-shipment Inspection as we understand it).

And the verification or technical investigation implementation is conducted by Surveyor stipulated by the Minister of Trade of Indonesia. Currently the sole appointed Surveyor (or PSI inspection agency) is KSO SCISI.

In conducting Verification or technical investigation activity for Non B3 Wastes, Surveyor is allowed to conduct cooperation with surveyor located outside Indonesia.

 

Pre-shipment Inspection shall at least includes:

a. correct and clear identity (name and address) of importer and Non B3 Waste Exporter;

b. number and date of Non B3 Waste PI;

c. quantity/volume or weight, type and specification, as well as Tariff Post/HS number of the imported Non B3 Wastes;

 

d. information of time and export country/port of loading of the imported Non B3 Wastes;

e. information of place or unloading destination port of imported Non B3 Wastes;

f. information from Non B3 Waste Exporter in the form of statement letter; and

g. information from importer in the form of statement letter.

Pre-shipment Inspection results shall be converted in the form of Surveyor Report (LS) to be used as customs supplementary documents for customs clearance purpose.
