According to AQSIQ's* Notice No. 115-2003 and No. 48-2004, overseas scrap material suppliers and traders are required to register with AQSIQ. From 1st July 2004, scrap material exported by unregistered suppliers or traders would not be allowed into China.

The AQSIQ registration process could be complicated for applicants, as all information AQSIQ provides or accepts is in Chinese only.
